What an honor to represent our friends and Property Collective co-founders Lauren and David Liess in the sale of their personal residence here in Great Falls! We heard some buzz that the real estate community thought it couldn’t be done but we broke records with the price and are so excited for what’s next. This was the first transaction in a domino of dreams coming true for the Liess’, the De Raedt family and our company. Beautiful and exciting times ahead!
Walker Road is a one-of-a-kind, alsatian-inspired property previously owned by the Heringer family of L’Auberge Chez Francois. It’s situated on more than five breathtaking acres overlooking Walker Bend Valley and its own private pond.
You may have seen it sitting up on the hill the last time you drove into the heart of Great Falls. It’s like it belongs in another place! The home has undergone an extensive multi-year renovation under Lauren's Direction as she expertly selected the highest quality materials to achieve the ideal balance of authentic charm and modern convenience.
She preserved and restored historic details like the casement windows with cremone bolts from France and the original antique stained glass saved from the original DC location of the Heringer family’s restaurant. Every piece of woodwork has been hand sanded, every upgrade thoughtfully executed—the level of finishes is simply extraordinary.
“We stepped into a way of life with a vision started by the original owners and it was like we got this chance to live in a storybook house. It’s been magical. Never have I loved a place like this one.”
– Lauren Liess
If you follow Lauren on Instagram, you’ll see the down-to-earth living her family enjoys. There are extensive gardens including a European-inspired stucco terraced potager garden, a goose house and a chicken coop with its own rose cutting garden. There’s a stocked pond, tree-lined allées and a flat open field that has seen some epic tented Halloween parties (and we have the photos to prove it!).
We’ve known for a while that there was a possibility that Lauren and David would be selling their home but somehow when the time came, it still felt like it snuck up on all of us. The team mobilized quickly to give this special listing the attention it deserved and the presentation and marketing was every bit as beautiful as we could have imagined. We launched the listing with a broker’s open exclusively for Property Collective agents. It was one of those magical days when the sun was shining and everything just seemed to come together perfectly.
